Texas - Lone Star Round Up 2010

Gassers anyone? Some serious looking fenderwell headers on this Ford......
Nice back drop for the El-Camino

Lee Pratt is an ex-La resident who now resides in Austin his '40 coupe was featured in RJ

I liked the Watson-esque style paint job on this custom

Nice clean simple Riviera..........

Another drag strip refugee, with hot blown flathead was this 3-windowJeff Norwells recently finished, nail hard truck...........

Wanna Race? Loved the detail on this street racer A coupe............

I just loved this hopped up '32 3 window

Reggie's own '32 roadster (built by Brian Darwas) and his barn find '36.......

Arrived! The pre-show BBQ at Reggie's had just the best food.........and of course cold beer!

Mark Morton's '36 geting down the road

The "bones" car hustling past the "jive five" car...............both these cars are well engineered, quick and so comfortable you almost forget your in a hot rod.........

Just a couple of cool old hot rods, in the back ground is Howard's two storey '32

Race?

Down the road we had superb weather, 75deg warmth clear blue sky's and good times, we had a "hot rod" celebrity join up with us in the shape of Mark Morton in his cool '36 with new interior.......wouldnt stop complaining about his broken CD player!!!! He was accompianed by an old friend who well into his 70's still races at Bonneville and had a joke for every minute of the day!!

For the last couple of years now my good friend John Swander (Kansas City) has been inviting me to fly into Kansas, and make the trip down to Texas sharing the driving between him, his brother Jay, myslef in a couple of his '32 five windows he owns........well this year it all fell into place and I was able to make the trip...........
